Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

We're getting ready for a family get together this weekend and so on my to-do list today is making pumpkin chocolate chip muffins.  They're easy, my kids love them, and they freeze beautifully which makes it easy for me to make them in advance.  The tricky part of this recipe?  They need a spice cake mix.  And for some crazy reason, the grocery stores here usually only sell them during the fall/holiday season.  Don't worry, Amazon has them on subscribe and save.
Betty Crocker Supermoist Spice Cake Mix, 15.25-Ounce (Pack of 6) - they are almost $2/box which is not a good price (I usually get them on sale for $1), BUT, if you haven't stocked up before, it's better than not having any to work with.

1 spice cake mix
1 15 ounce can of pumpkin
1 bag of chocolate chips

Mix, put in greased muffin tins and bake at 350.  For the mini size, cook about 15 minutes.  For the regular sized I did 20 minutes.  Check with a toothpick to make sure it comes clean and you're done.

Find other cake mixes on subscribe and save if you're interested.

*These prices are calculated getting the 20% subscribe and save discount that anyone is eligible for if they have 5 subscribe and save things coming from Amazon in any month.  See my Getting Started tab for more details.
