Saving your holiday sanity

We are headed into the most wonderful time of the year.  I love the holiday season, the snow, shopping, spending more time with family, helping those that we can, you name it.  But I recognize that it makes things are a little more stressful too.  Here are a few things that Amazon can help with on the subscribe & save program.  Because free 2-day shipping and great sales on your gift givings isn't enough this time of year.  ;)

Dixie 10 1/16inches Plates, 24 Count - you may have an upcoming holiday party or just need these for a regular dinner one night because you're too tired for dishes.  This little pack of the big plates will run you a whole $1.63.  That makes them 6.7 cents/plate.  If you only bought these on coupon at Costco they're 6.3 cents/plate, but once you add sales tax (mine is 6.85%) then it jumps you right up to 6.8 cents/plate.  May as well amazon them.

Kitchen Collection Crock Pot Liners 10 Bags 18" X 14" Fits All Crock Pots and Slow Cookers up to 8 Quarts - these aren't on subscribe & save, but I swear by them.  I use these in my crock pot every time, it makes it so your clean up is so much easier and worth the pennies that it costs for these bags.  Set of 10 will ship for just under $5 as an add-on item.

Good Seasons Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix, Italian, 0.7 oz., 4-Count Packets (Pack of 4)

And a recipe that you can use with this dressing for any holiday entertaining:

French Dips
1 (3 lb) cross rib, rump, or eye-of-round beef roast
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can beef consomme
1 1/2 cups water
1 packet Good Seasons Italian dressing seasoning
1 au jus gravy packet

Toss all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on high for 6-8 hours or until it shreds easily.  Take your rolls, slice and place a piece of swiss or provolone on on half, bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until they are toasted and the cheese is melted.  Put the meat on the sandwich and serve with au jus mixture that has been strained.

*I use the leftover meat the next night to make beef enchiladas or something else.  :)
