Razor Scooters

I get Razor scooters for my kids on Black Friday for $19 as soon as they're old enough.  They're easy, cheap, and the kids love them.  Amazon is putting several of theirs on a major sale today, and the electric ones are even cheaper than they were on Black Friday.Razor Jr. Kiddie Kick Scooter - $15.20 is the one for up to 3 or so.

Razor A Kick Scooter (Pink) - $17.00 - these are the ones my kids start riding at 3 and continue to ride since they grow with you.

50% off Vtech

Amazon has Vtech toys for 50% off today - they're a great brand that is sturdy and kids love them.  Here are some of my kids favorites.

VTech Switch & Go Dinos - Blister The Velociraptor Dinosaur - $12.49 and it makes a great toy to gift to someone on your list.  A hit with my son.

VTech First Learning Laptop - my poor son has his sister's pink laptop but today they have Sofia, Disney Princess, and Disney Cars laptops on sale for $12.49.  My kids have all loved their own little computer.
VTech Move and crawl Ball - $7.49 for a classic baby toy.  Grab it for your little one or the next baby shower that you go to.

American Girl Isabelle Sale

This morning, the Today Show will announce a code to buy the American Girl doll Isabelle.  She's the girl of the year and prices historically are close to 50% off.  If your daughter has ever wanted a doll, this is your opportunity.  Go to this website to see what they have.  They restock for each time zone so if you don't get it the first time, try again later.  But you have to hurry.  Any dillydallying will cause the doll to come right out of your cart!  Code 179780 is good for $10 off $100.

50% off Melissa & Doug Wooden Toys

Remember that one time I mentioned that there would be 50% off Melissa & Doug Toys sale that comes the first week of December?  It's here!  And selection goes quickly so if you're thinking of something,  grab it quickly.  Deals are only valid today.  Here's our fav, tried and tested on 3 kids picks.

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Classic Peg Puzzle Bundle - classic letters and numbers puzzles - a 3 pack is $10 making them $3.33 each.  Great thing to have on hand for throughout the year.  My 12-18 month old kids start doing the fishy one since it's a matching colors puzzle.  The letter puzzle is a top 3 favorite toy for my 2 year old, and my older girls also do this puzzle regularly.  Every house should have a set when they're this inexpensive for a wooden peg puzzle!  Also, they're individually wrapped so they're great to use for gifts.

The Wooden Sandwich-Making Set & Slice and Bake Cookie Set are each $10 (50% off, lowest price they ever sell for) and are perfect for a play kitchen.  These are the only 2 food sets that they have this year, normally they have the cutting food, cakes, etc. so I'm sure these will sell out fast.  If you're thinking of these, don't hesitate.  Everyone loves the wooden play food at our house and it's held up much longer than any of our plastic food.  Plus, there are more ways to *play* with it which is always fun.

Melissa & Doug See & Spell - another $10 option that was great for my girls to advance to once they knew their letters.  I love it because it's all self contained in one box and when they start sounding out the individual letters as they put them in that's never a bad thing either.

Fishing And Bug Catching Magnetic Game Bundle (Pack of 2) - this is a magnetic puzzle - they use the stick with the magnetic end to pull out the puzzle pieces and "catch" the piece.  This two pack makes it $5 a puzzle!  I've bought these before and they're $13 at our local toy store. All of my kids still love these and they're perfect to take one over to a friend who has just had a new baby for the new older brother or sister.  Cause let's be honest, that's a rough transition time for any small child and they just can use a little attention of their own.

Doll Accessories Bundle - this is $15 but if you have a little girl into the baby doll phase it's a great accessory.  My girls always loved the disappearing bottles.  This set isn't a must have but it's decent.

The only thing that you should never buy, is the Band in a Box.  Unless you never want to be sane again.  Children love it and will play with it all the time.  But I sure loved it when I donated this set after I realized that it was actually making me crazy.

50% off ride on toys

Amazon is still going strong with online deals and today they have 50% off Power Wheels and other ride on toys - we got one for our kids a couple years ago and it's the favorite among all the neighborhood kids.  I definitely recommend a two seater so they can ride with a friend.  I waited and searched to find a good deal when I bought ours and Amazon is making it so easy today since these are all 50% off.

Fisher Price Power Wheels Dune Racer - this is my personal fav at $159, and the best news is that Power Wheels puts a governor on them.  So you can set it to go fast or to crawl.  For the first year we kept it on the slow setting but now that my kids are older they can handle the higher speeds.

Power Wheels Ford Mustang - is $209 and a great gender neutral option.
Power Wheels Barbie Jammin' Jeep - classic pink barbie jeep is $179.

If power ride on's aren't your thing they have this Radio Flyer Grow 'N Go Flyer for $41 that is a great option as well. My kids love to be outside and playing with anything that they can.  Saving with sanity counts for Christmas shopping too.

Amazon Mom Appreciation Event

Amazon Mom launched their Mom Appreciation Event this morning - use the code TOYS2014 at checkout.  Sale ends October 13th.  Typically they have done it on baby items but they changed it up with 30% off Toys and Games - several that my kids love but that don't usually go on sale.  Check all of them out here.  Don't know what Amazon Mom is?  It's an added feature to your Prime account - it doesn't cost anything extra - but it does get you an extra discount on diapers and events like these.  Sign up here if you're not already a member, it takes 15 seconds.

Kid O A to Z Magnatab ($16.63) Kid O Free Play Magnatab ($13.84) are two favorites around our house.  I bought them for a plane ride that I was making with my 3 kids by myself.  They're easy, it helps with good coordination, and the kids love the magnet aspect of them.

B. Alphaberry ($11.01) - Target carries this line and while the price on sale isn't a screaming price, you can't ever find this one in stock!  We've had this for about 3 years, again, I bought it for an airplane ride.  Kids from 4 months - 8 love it.  I have no idea why, it's a knockoff blackberry.  But, I only carry one toy in my diaper bag to entertain kids when I need it and this is it.

Hape Checkout Register - Play Set ($19.51) - this is not one we've specifically tried here but my kids love cash registers and I'm a sucker for cute wooden toys.  Santa may bring it for someone this year.

Wondering why I haven't listed any Melissa & Doug Puzzles yet?  It's because they're not a great price.  Historically, Amazon puts these on sale the first week of December as one of the Gold Box Deals of the Day.  Nearly all of them are $10 or less - so this magnetic 2 pack (a fav at our house) is just under $12.  Not a huge difference, but just know, you're not getting the best price on Melissa & Doug items.  Last year the sale happened on December 4th.  It's a great time to stock up for birthday parties or items to add to baby gifts in the future.

Remember the code is TOYS2014, you can get $100 worth of savings in one transaction.
